The Girton Feast events will definitely go ahead as planned on the 9th and 10th July. Our risk assessment and planning has been based on May 17th guidance and following a meeting with SCDC today, we can go ahead as planned. We will have to take some precautions to keep people safe but we are well within capacity requirements.
For the bands - we will will mark out 2m no-go area in front of the stage.
For the stallholders - please consider bringing hand sanitiser for your customers - we will have 3m spaces between stalls.
We are looking forward to seeing you at our Outdoor Cinema on Friday 9th and the Village Fête on Saturday 10th July. These will be able to go ahead even though restrictions were not lifted on 14 June. To keep you safe, we have been taking advice from South Cambs Distict Council so that all the necessary precautions will be in place. We will have hand gel stations and a hand wash unit by the toilets (which include a disabled toilet).
We have a very large recreation ground and there will be plenty of room for everyone. At both these events, there will be a mix of cashless and cash payments, recognising that many of us no longer use cash. Please use our website keep up to date on the plans being put in place by visiting: www.girtonfeast.org.uk and watch out for posters around the village. We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to join us and help us celebrate being able to socialise once again. If you have any queries, please contact email@example.com
